why is it that electrons in the electron clouds are so far apart? according to the book if the nucleus of an atom is the size of a golf ball the electron on revolving around the nucleus is about a kilometer apart.... then how is it that electrons come together and bond with other elements to form new compounds if their so far apart... or am i reading that wrong...
